Dörte Hirschberg 🇩🇪

Dörte is a seasoned entrepreneur and investor with a strong network, including from her time in consulting with McKinsey. She led the global HR team as well as the incubation programme at Rocket Internet, scaling more than 50 startups from the idea stage to Series A. In addition she built her own SaaS company (IdeaFox) and was part of the global leadership team of the unicorn HelloFresh. Dörte is passionate about increasing diversity in the investor ecosystem and supporting diverse founder teams.

Dörte is primarily focused on investing in DACH and also leads our investor relations efforts in the region.

Morten Halborg

Morten Halborg 🇩🇰

Morten spent 20+ years in the institutional investing world, the last 15 of which with Swedish pension giant Skandia Asset Management as COO, CIO and CEO. He was one of the pioneers in impact investing in the Nordic pension sector. He has a strong network in the institutional asset management and pension worlds, and has extensive experience with scaling up companies. He has held board roles for many years and enjoys supporting high-growth companies, especially with strategy and fundraising.

Morten has overall responsibility for investor relations, finance and operations (CEO/CFO/COO) while being primarily focused on investing in Denmark.

Stefan Maard

Stefan Mård 🇩🇰

Stefan has extensive experience in venture building, impact assessment, and innovation management, especially in the industrial biotech space. During his time at Novozymes he led the development of their climate impact innovation portfolio, the impact assessment & ESG team, an internal impact project incubator, and the most celebrated impact venture (CleanStar Mozambique). One of his teams developed the methodology for early-stage identification of high-impact business opportunities. Stefan also co-founded a corporate impact venturing studio (DIVA Ventures L3C), backed by WBCSD, DSM, Pillsbury, and Novozymes.

Stefan has overall responsibility for our impact-related activities while being primarily focused on investing in biotech opportunities.

Partner for our investment team

Seasoned early stage VC investor | For Germany or Scandinavia | Full time 

Climentum Capital is expanding. As we prepare to deploy Fund II, we’re looking for a seasoned Partner to join our investment team - bringing a strong early-stage track record and a deep understanding of what it takes to build the sustainable industrial backbone of Europe.

Your responsibilities

As a Partner, you will play a central role in our investment efforts and fund development. 

Responsibilities include:

  • Sourcing, evaluating and leading new investments

  • Managing the full deal lifecycle, including due diligence and structuring

  • Supporting portfolio companies hands-on, including board-level engagement and exit preparation

  • Representing Climentum in the ecosystem, including via conferences

  • Driving internal strategy development and shaping the fund’s long-term trajectory

  • Supporting fundraising, LP relations, and broader firm-building activities

What we’re looking for

  • 7+ years of relevant experience, including direct early-stage VC investing 

  • A clear investment track record, ideally within climate or industrial tech

  • Strong technical understanding; an engineering background is a plus

  • Experience leading deals and supporting founders post-investment

  • Deep networks across the European VC, founder, and industrial ecosystems

  • Clear analytical thinking, structured execution, and strong communications skills

  • Entrepreneurial mindset and collaborative team approach
